Brown classifies travel to world destinations with elevated risk factors as High Risk Travel.
A Safety Plan is a required document for travel to Brown High-Risk destinations. It outlines health, safety, and security risks and details mitigation strategies. Submitted via TravelSafe, it is reviewed by the Global Travel Risk Assessment Committee (GTRAC), which evaluates academic purpose, traveler readiness, and support feasibility. Its goal is to assess and mitigate risks before travel is approved.
In the event that you require urgent security or medical assistance while traveling, please refer to the relevant information based on your travel type.
